Looking back...

I was in the process of cleaning up my computer and found a file of old images and photos from over the years. It's really neat to look back at your former self- and really your former life. I feel like I've grown so much as a person and looking back at these pictures from two, three, or even five years ago really proves it to me. I highly recommend you do this. It's important to remember where we came from in order to appreciate the changes we've undergone.
I'll share some of the sillier ones here and try to briefly state where I was in my life at that point and what I've learned since. I've decided to be brutally honest  with myself and forthright with these photos to reinforce my life lessons and inspire you to do the same Get to it!

When I thought that sitting on a wooden bull surrounded by old men dressed as Santa on holiday was totally normal.....Ernest Hemingway "Run of the Bulls" -Key West '06
The trip of a lifetime. Can't wait to repeat.

When I loved DECA. I still do. I REALLY miss those trips....

My first sun-poisoning after this day in Miami :) I've had it 3 times since so I guess  I don't catch on quickly....

Oh Junior Prom...where I secretly had fun with my date but didn't say it or show it. At least the friendship above is still as strong as ever!

I have no excuses for this one because we still do this at least once a month now. Besties since 4th grade <3

When I was a serious athlete- I had armbands and everything.  I've since taken up racquetball
and have been told I'm pretty sick-nasty by several friends and 1 gym creeper. Naturally.

When I met the woman who would be the first person to inspired me to be something greater.  My first hero.

Back when I thought shark backpacks and my boyfriend were awesome.  I still love shark backpacks...

First week of college really changes you.  I've learned that
showering with others is rarely productive and is generally better in theory
than in practice.

Oh when I met Katy Perry. No big deal.

When I discovered I like my men short, dark, and dressed in orange...and two at a time.

When my brother and I became BFF's. I've since learned that fanny packs,
denim hats, and shorts under dresses are NEVER a good idea. Clearly.

When we actually became friends with the help of time and Giants season tickets.

When I first discovered my love for mustaches and Indian guys. But not together. I still love both of these things.
When I discovered that I could actually be tan! Huge deal. I miss this :(

When I first discovered the downside of the accessibility of alcohol at 21.....and that jungle juice makes me look Asian. These two here act as a tough lesson to myself.
