Can't Live Without You....

COFFEE
When I wake up in the morning, you’re the the first thing I think about
As I stumble down the staircase I know that I couldn’t live a day
Without you
You’re my sober when I’m wasted
You’re my courage when I’ve got a doubt,
You’re my happy when I’m grumpy
You’re my smile when I’m stuck with a pout
Can’t live without you
I’m addicted, think it’s sickness, when you’re not here I’m always a mess
You’re the weapon against the sandman feel so warm in my hand
Not a woman not a man that can..
Live without you
From the moment that you touched my lips it feels just like I’d been hit with a
thousand volts of lectricity
From the diner to the bar even driving in my car,
Coffee, I can’t live without you
Cappuccino, frappaccino iced blended mocha latte black coffee frappe double shot pike place  bold taste Italian roast you're the most low fat-vente  grande soy milk americana
Coffee
I can’t live without you, this song’s about you

In Love....

I DO have Tunic Love, Tory Burch! You know me so well. So my love affair with Tory Burch continues. I swear that this woman can get inside my head and design clothes for who I am, who I want to be, and how I hope to live one day.

I often go on The Tory Burch Website for "a minuet" and find myself hours later still glued to the web pages drooling over everything. No joke,  this site is like clothing/shoe/ handbag porn for me ( did I go too far?).

I have files and files of Tory Burch shoes, purses, handbags, dresses, tops, and jewelry that I'm obsessed with and hope to one day acquire.  I mean seriously, their signature shoe is so elegant and classy and to me, makes such a statement. I have 2 TB wallets from the line but next on my list is definitely a perfect pair of signature Tory Burch flats.

I'm going to indulge myself  by posting some of my favorite pieces from the designer.  (Side note: I'm Facebook friends with Tory-ok, so it's mostly her PR people- and her posts are always clever, inspired, and fun. Her photos from her trip to Delhi kept me up all night. haha)

Here's one of those picture from Delhi. Picture taken by Tory in her hotel room. I would NEVER leave. Ever.

And onto my  clothes/shoe/bag porn  favorite pieces:

And don't even get me started on their Kid's line. My little girl will be the most fashionably dresses munchkin ever.

Eye Candy...

A Peak into Celebrity Closets:

Sometimes you want to put practicality aside and not think about space saving solutions or paring down your wardrobe. I am not above admitting that  sometimes I  just want to dream about being rich, beautiful and famous, with a closet that is filled with color-coordinated designer names and goes on for infinity. That sounds like happiness to me. Just saying...

I hope celebrity closet envy isn't just a guilty pleasure of mine, that someone else out there gets this,  because I could  honestly spend hours looking at these pictures, scouring the details. It must be wonderful to wake up and stroll into a closet that strongly resembles a Bloomingdale's and look great in all of those clothes as an added bonus. Sighhhh

I love Jessica Alba's hats on display. It's cute, whimsical, and practical. I love you Jessica, but why do you have to be talented beautiful, AND organized!?! Now I have no excuse... :)

The fact that Christina Aguilera needs a ladder to get to her clothes says it all. Plusss, it comes with an adorable baby. How sweet

I could totally see Miley Cyrus living out her teenage dreams in this room. That doesn't mean I have to like it though...cough:Tacky:cough

Oh Oprah. Where does it end? Where does it begin? Why is there a TV in her closet? Because she's Oprah.

Eva Longoria's closet is meticulously organized, yet still feels amazingly casual. I just don't get how you could ever wear that many pairs of jeans!

Funky Mood...

Music is sometimes the only outward expression of the craziness that is in my head.
I want to live in these little worlds.

Towers of Power...

  • I'd love to have the luxery of choosing from these fine residences...

  • From  New York Magazine

  • As late as 2007, 740 Park Avenue was the city’s most glamorous apartment building (even inspiring a full-length book by Michael Gross). One housing cycle later, 740 has arguably been supplanted by 15 Central Park West, whose traditional limestone façade envelops every modern amenity (and no co-op board!). Who lives better?

15 Central Park West740 Park Avenue
    Total Apartments20232
Largest Apartment6,617 square feet20,000 square feet (approx.)
    Biggest Sale$45.8 million$32 million
Notable ResidentsSting, Denzel Washington, Bob Costas, Jeff Gordon, Sanford Weill, Alex Rodriguez, Lloyd Blankfein, Norman LearVera Wang, Kent Swig, Courtney Ross, John Thain, Jackie Kennedy Onassis (as a child).
ProvenanceDesigned by modern traditionalist Robert A. M. Stern and built by developers William and Arthur Zeckendorf. (Coincidentally, their grandfather, also William Zeckendorf, owned 740 Park back in the fifties.)Designed by early-twentieth-century starchitect Rosario Candela and Arthur Harmon, and developed by Jacqueline Kennedy’s grandfather, James T. Lee. Jackie grew up there, and John D. Rockefeller Jr. called it home.
DebutFinished at the frothiest point of a bubbly market, with nearly all apartments presold despite nineteen price hikes. Buyers who bought early were able, after the building was finished, to flip for double what they’d paid.Construction began weeks before the 1929 stock-market crash. Press reports pegged its costs at an extravagant $2.225 million. When it debuted right into the Depression, sales stumbled.
ApartmentsApartments here have unusual grace notes not usually found in condominiums (wide hallways, grand entrances), especially in the larger units. They don’t make them like this anymore: sprawling duplexes with elliptical staircases, parquet floors, lengthy galleries, walnut-paneled rooms, and windows precisely placed to make the most of the sun. As one luxury real-estate broker puts it: “You can’t replicate patina.”
Sales HistoryHedge-funder Daniel Loeb paid $45.8 million for a 10,674-square-foot, five- bedroom combination of two apartment units when the building had just begun sales in 2005. Ex–Citigroup head Sanford Weill paid $42.4 million for his four-bedroom—a then-record $6,288 per square foot. Even during the recent down cycle, sellers were still able to command top prices. In early August, a 2,500-square-foot two-bedroom, bought for $6.8 million a year before Lehman Brothers went bust, was snapped up for $11.5 million.Has broken price records time and again. A 21-room triplex fetched $25 million in 2004, surpassing $3,000 per square foot, and in 2000, a fourth-and-fifth-floor duplex closed for $32 million. More recently, though, apartment 4/5C, a 6,700-square-foot four-bedroom, has stayed on the market for two years. Even after a $9 million price cut, it’s still available, at less per square foot than some units at 15 Central Park West.
ExclusivityNo interview required, but buyers must submit financials and exhaustive background information, and the board does have the right of first refusal. There are 202 units in the building, so a handful of them are available to buy or rent at any given time, except for the largest of the full-floors and duplexes. Exclusivity comes mostly from the sheer expense of buying in.Legendarily rigorous co-op board, presided over by hedge-funder Charles Stevenson Jr. (He’s married to New York Times writer Alex Kuczynski.) Applicants are reportedly expected to have at least a few hundred million dollars in the bank, and need to be able to afford not just the asking price but the potential five-figure monthly maintenance. (A special assessment for façade work in 1990 cost each shareholder $258,000.) There are only 32 units in the building.
PerksAbsolutely everything. A 14,000-square-foot fitness center in the basement with a pool that sits under a glass fountain in the courtyard; an entertainment floor that can be used for private parties; a screening room; a library; and a private dining room serving lunch and dinner that offers room service.A famously attentive staff that caters to a resident’s every whim. There’s a small fitness center in the basement.
PrivacyBoldface names can purchase apartments under corporate cover. If they’re trying to skirt paparazzi, they can disembark from their cars in the private driveway or inside the building’s parking garage.Board screening process gives neighbors a complete accounting of a buyer’s financial holdings. Buyers here cannot hide behind LLCs; sales are matters of public record, so anyone can find out who bought in the building and for exactly how much.
VibeJeans and Hermès loafers; the building hosts an annual Thanksgiving Day–parade breakfast.Formal, well-heeled, somewhat stuffy.

    Pretty Cool....

Redesigned Museum of the Moving Image Opens

( Article from Interior Design Magazine) HERE!

After an extensive redesign and renovation by architect Thomas Leeser, the Astoria, New York Museum of the Moving Image reopens its doors to the public this Saturday. But now the institution boasts state-of-the-art facilities for highlighting film and video, and twice as much space, totaling 97,000 square feet, thanks to a three-story addition.
“New York has long been at the center of visual media development, so it’s fitting that the nation’s only institution dedicated to its exploration continues to thrive and expand in the city,” says mayor Michael Bloomberg.

Thomas Leeser, principal of Leeser Architecture, remarks on his redesign, “One of our main goals was to allow visitors to experience their movement through the building as a kind of participation in the imaginary movement of images on the screen.” To this end, a new museum entrance metaphorically references the screen via a portal of mirrored and transparent glass, as well as play of light. Visitors pass through this screen to encounter gently canted forms that create a sense of dynamic, freeflowing spaces.
The museum’s screening areas include the 267-seat main theater, which sports wraparound ceiling and walls made of 1,135 fabric panels; a 1,700-square-foot amphitheater with built-in bench seating; and an intimate 68-seat film and digital screening room to double as an educational space. Additionally, the facility houses a new 4,100-square-foot gallery for changing exhibitions, collection storage, a dedicated education center, and the upgraded 15,000-square-foot core exhibition, “Behind the Screen,” an interactive exploration of how film and television programs are produced and promoted.

    Silly things....

Ad agency Colle + McVoy has launched an innovative campaign for Caribou Coffee’s new hot breakfast sandwiches. They have installed bus shelters in Minneapolis that not only look like ovens but are also equipped with real heaters to keep the waiting commuters warm in this cold weather. Excellent campaign that perfectly complements their new “Hot ‘n Wholesome” menu.
