Musical Musings....

I love everything about music.  I sincerely believe that you can accurately judge a person's character by their musical interests. Although, my tastes and interests are all over the place.... OR is that the underlying theme to my life???? hmmm :) I've met friends, started relationships, lost respect for people, broken the ice, and emotionally healed all because of/with the use of music. 

One of my favorite things to do is troll message boards and Youtube for bands and artist that I haven't yet heard of. Finding a song that just resonates with you by an artist that you had previously never heard of is an awesome feeling. I feel like im on a quest, treasure hunting for a great band or a new song of the moment.  Paste Magazine, Blender, Pandora Radio and suggestions on Youtube sites had lead me on an awesome journey so far. 

But what if there was a new way to search for songs? An interactive site that allowed you to find songs based on the emotion or activity that you are currently doing/feeling? Well, it's now possible. ( If you're anything like me, steady your breathing at this point. It's gonna get more exciting. Yes way!). 
First there was sorting through whatever CD's you had laying around the house, then came iTunes Shuffle, and then Pandora Radio (which I LOVE), and now: STEREOMOOD. 

The premise being simply " Behind every song there's always an emotion. We don't know why but maybe that's why we love music. So we've created a way to suggest songs that follow your feelings: Stereomood is the emotional internet radio, providing music that best suits your mood and your activities. Ask yourself, "How do I feel? What am I doing now?"". You find the playlist, artists, and songs that perfectly fit what your feeling- or would would like to feel.  You can even be more specific by picking choices on the left side of the page ex) "It's raining" or "Already drunk". (don't ask how I know that last one).

Ok Lame Alert: Sometimes if Im having an awesome day or experience I  put that into this little musical machine and find a song that perfectly fits just how awesome I'm feeling  so that when I later download it, I can remember that exact experience or person when its playing on my computer or in the car. Personalized pick-me-up music!! Im incredibly thrilled by the musical and psychological implications of this site :) I'm a nerd
